AwardOwl

Say thank you at work without it feeling like a form

AwardOwl is a small tool for giving people credit where they work. No points economy, no leaderboard, no confetti.

Most recognition software is built around a budget. Somebody is handed an allowance of points, the points turn into gift cards, and within about two months everyone works out the exchange rate and stops meaning it. We built the opposite. AwardOwl sends one short note, to one person, and keeps a record they can actually keep.

What it does

A note, written by a person
You write two or three sentences about a specific thing someone did. There is no template to fill in and no drop-down of values.
It arrives where they already are
By email, or in Slack if your team uses it. We do not make anyone learn a new place to look.
They keep it
Every note a person receives stays on one page they own. People take it with them when they leave. We think that is the point.
We had a recognition platform before. It had nine kinds of badge and nobody used any of them. This has one kind of thing and people use it.

Who uses it

Mostly teams between about eight and sixty people - agencies, clinics, a couple of schools, one bakery with four locations. Big companies want reporting we deliberately do not build.

If you want to see it, write to hello@awardowl.com and say roughly how many people are on your team. We will send back a link you can poke at.
